Underground Cable Fault Resulted in More Than 4 Million Homes and Businesses Blackout


According to the BBC reported local time on June 6, 9 am 55 points a line of underground cable of Western Power Distribution in Birmingham occurring faults resulted in more than 4 million homes including businesses blackout.

The Western Power Distribution spokesman Danny Clayton said the power cut was caused by a main underground cable fault.

Luckily the malfunction elimination was timely and the blackout just maintained one hour and 13 minutes. Now all the affected areas have restore electricity.
